Which HDMI cable for I2S?

I'm currently using an inexpensive 12 inch long Monoprice cable to connect my dac to a Gustard U18 interface. Honestly, it sounds quite good.

I don't want to buy a pricey cable, but maybe something by DH Labs, etc.

There are some deals on older cables that meet HDMI 1.3, 1.4, or 2.0 standards. I know these standards are for video. Would all of them work for I2S digital audio? Would the higher standard HDMI 2.1 be better?

@sdc2 The Wyred 4 Sound works well.  I'm happy with the sound that I'm getting. I didn't do any a/b comparisons with the DH Labs but I liked the sound quality and I'm using it. I can usually tell immediately if I try a different cable and I don't like it.  And that was four months ago and don't exactly recall. I've done some messing with interconnects since then.

I haven't been tempted to try an expensive I2s cable, so I can't say if they would be better.

Just to follow up, I did end up getting the Wyred4Sound HDMI cable. In the end, though I wasn't all that happy and replaced it with an Audioquest Vodka 48, which worked much better, although it was more expensive, even purchased used.
