Adjusting for Tweeter height with monitors

This may be a dumb question but how do you guys go about making sure your ears and tweeters are properly aligned?  After all, stands only come in a few sizes. Do you use height-adjustable chairs? 

I have to raise my Silverline monitors high enough to ensure the woofers clear obstructing furniture and in so doing, the tweeters end up about 4 inches higher than ear-level, when seated, which has a negative sonic effect. Rising up out of my chair a few inches, the sound is much better. My wife has volunteered to make me a tall seat cushion to compensate but this makes me wonder how others approach this.

Get a new infinity irs v no matter where you are it's there.yoga,jumping Jack's, head stands ,grandkids dog piling you whatever.thats why I like proper line arrays that don't comb as I'm losing my hair.i get it some don't have 90 inch tall cealings.this is a great thread lots of good advice. Some might take a laser tape it to top of speaker and aim it at listening space.just a thought.ever wounder why dsp has you put the mic at ear level.? Enjoy the science

Tweeters a few inches too low?
 

The French in the past often used a bespoke device that could possibly be modified, to slice a few inches off your neck.

I'm curious. How did you determine the optimal height for my speakers?

There isn't an optimal height "Par Se", the room has a substantial influence on the Speaker, being an environment very very different to the environment the Speakers were created in by the design team.

Speakers are a bit like a military plan, the Plan remains excellent until the opposition are engaged, then the training and principles of the Team become the structure that is depended on for success.

The design for a Speaker is excellent until the Speaker become the item used in a the New Environment. Only then does the secondary requirements take precedence, which is how to best couple the Speakers within the space to perform at their most optimised. 

In many cases a tilt to a front baffle has the positive effect for the End Sound being listened to, but is definitely not the full resolve to the issue.

Now that I looked at your speaker in a more detailed manner I have come to the conclusion that you should remove that lift and roller assembly on the bottom front of your speaker completely and let them sit flat on the floor surface. Give that a try and the speaker should be perfectly at your face and ear height and the tweeter will be at its premium position for listening in a standard listening chair.

THAT IS YOUR ISSUE of why the tweeter signal is going above your head.
