It also depends on the amount of hash and junk aka noise that the wall wart dumps back into your electrical system… 

you are likely to get user experience if you share the TT model including the smps and w luck finding another user who upgraded to a linear power supply…

I think the good Dr in this case can be trusted with both good ears and engineering skills…. Upgrade 

I am thinking of doing the same thing for my SOTA.    It uses 2 wall warts and their LPS would replace both.     Less wires.     It works great with the wall wart but the LPS is in a rugged aluminum case with heat sinks.   It $400 so not cheap but I think that table deserves. It.   

That's a nice table, personally I would do it.   

The lps made an immediate improvement in my Rega. Worth the cost to be sure.
