Well we do have excellent cable manufacturers here in Europe .
Purchase European 220 power cords and power conditioners in the U.S.
I need to purchase 220 volt power cables and power conditioners with European plugs here in the U.S. I checked with Audioquest, and they won't sell European products to U.S. consumers. Does anyone know of any brands of good 220 volt power cables and power conditioners that can be purchased in the U.S.? Not looking for super high end/high dollar options, but decent quality designed for audio. Thanks!

@vk_onfilter Thanks! I will ask for quotes a little closer to my move. It would be nice if your site listed pricing.
@edinphiladelphia Seems like Ice Age might be a good source for my power cords. Thanks!
@parkergetdean Yes. The plug adapters I will by after I relocate. Although I would prefer something better than a basic adapter, I haven't seen anything.
@iseland Thanks, but I am not headed to Europe. European imports would still be expensive due to added VAT taxes. |
AREUSK5FD is $997.00 plus shipping. U.S. model you can buy online: https://www.onfilter.com/product-page/arn5156fd but not the European models. |
there are several adapter threads here and the common theme is: adapters and converters are generally for cheap appliances, no such thing as audiophile converter/transformer. I am ignorant about the effects of power on amplifiers but if it's a big deal to you, I would want to replace the power supply unit in the amp at your destination. |
The Swedish company Entreq is highly regarded for its range of cables and I have used them for many years. I think they still have a Canadian distributor but you can check on their website. Puritan Audio in the UK which I also use is another I can strongly recommend but I think you would have to contact them in the UK |
