Boutique DACs

i have no idea what the op is getting at

what is ’boutique style’? -- pretty much all companies in the high end hifi space -- except for a very few (harman industries, focal, kef...) -- are pretty much tiny tiny businesses compared to mass market players like sony, apple, bose and so on

@jjss49 I tried to explain my definition for it in a previous post in this thread... sorry you feel that way... 

I would NOT consider these brands boutique, just my opinion. Examples

Yamaha, Marantz, Technics, Rega, Cambridge, NAD, McIntosh, or anything made in China, etc....

Another request not to include any ESS/AKM based DACs. 

This is just my personal preference. Hope that helps a a little.
