2026 Florida International Audio Expo Feb 20-22

Who's going to the 2026 Florida International Audio Expo (Feb 20-22)?  Our local Suncoast Audiophile Society (also the Central Florida club) will again have a "hangout" in the Shelton Room, and also manning a table near the Cypress Room.  Looking forward to seeing/hearing the latest gear, and chatting with like minded hobbyists, both young and old.

Well said and couldn’t agree more.

When I go to Florida I’m respectful as this isn’t my home but is for them that live there and I would not disrespect them and insult them about their state.

Likewise, when in California I’m respectful as this isn’t my home but is for them that live there and I would not disrespect them and insult them about their state.

The world is watching us I assure you and let’s not embarrass ourselves.

Audio is a place for common ground and will take work and restraint to make it a place for all.  Who will take the torch from here, with the aging audiophile community, and bring it to the next generation if your sole focus is- if one bleeds red or blue?

"Progress is a nice word. But change is its motivator. And change has its enemies. Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly."

The closest thing to fisticuffs I've ever seen at an audio show was something far more important than politics...it was an argument over turntables.

Do you have / can make a streamer / ethernet bridge that does NOT include a DAC, can play Spotify Connect (Lossless), able to AirPlay, will output Bit Perfect to an external DAC, does NOT use proprietary software, can UPnP, and does not cost a fortune?

In other words… something at the opposite end of the spectrum from the mega buck magic streamer boxes.  Most of these types of magic boxes will do Tidal / Qobuz (if anything).  I use Spotify Connect (Lossless) because it’s better at finding MUSIC.  And I like music.

If you can do that, I would like to stop by and talk to you about that.  I have visited your site today and didn’t see quite what I was looking for.  I see PecanPi, but I don’t need it to do analog (unneeded complexity for my need)… and I haven’t gone down the wormhole to figure it out.

I do not have any plans for making a streamer with digital out only. My existing streamers have USB ports, and if you like, you may connect an external USB DAC to them. The data will be bit-perfect to the external DAC as long as you don’t apply any volume control.

UPnP, AirPlay, and Spotify (not lossless yet, but will be in the future) are supported, as well as Tidal Connect and Qobuz Connect.
