The Music Room is Slipping

I cannot recommend doing business with them any longer. They DEEPLY lowball you when you sell them gear and then forget all about the mass profits they made on you when you are looking to buy something from them, They offer to stand behind a purchase, yes... but the reality is that it is all about max profits on used gear and lack of any sort of support or consideration going forward. They are nothing more than a pawnshop for audio gear and I am done with them.

nooshinjohn

you mean.....?

 Ok, well don't you think that the Samsonite people, in some crazy scheme in order to make a profit, MADE MORE THAN ONE BLACK SUITCASE?

They are in the money making business hah!

@nooshinjohn

I’m not sure what you mean by "support" or "consideration". Do you mean something like the Cable Company's "frequent flyer" discount?

When you say "lowball", to whom are you comparing what they offer?

My main complaint is that the 5% restock fee + shipping quickly adds up to more than I’m willing to spend for the opportunity to audition gear at home but this is an expensive obsession... er, I mean, hobby.

Put on ad on Facebook and have people show up to audit things dude. If things sound like sht, you won't be selling much. If you know how to blow some guy's pants off with the sound, he will buy it.

TMR and the like are for guys who are trying to sell off letdowns, sht sounding overpriced gear or can't execute anything. Take the L, let them take their cut and quit complaining, if you fall in the latter bucket

I'm talking about after making more than 1500 bucks off a piece of gear I sold them, they can't even do 25 bucks off a used power cord they are into for less than half of what they listed it for... For a company that claims to care about audiophiles, it seems the dollar is what comes first.

Staying in business is what comes first. No one seems to consider the back end.

Start a business, If it's a franchise, that costs. Maintaining a physical presence. Taxes, utilities, payroll, insurance---, get the drift.
