Innuos or Aurender

I am looking to purchase a server/ streamer maybe even with ripper used. I have narrowed my choices down to the Innuos Zen mini 3 w power supply or the new model Stream1. A power supply would put that over my budget. The Aurenders I'm looking at are the N150, N10 and the A1000. I am looking for ease of use interface, Tidal capable and roon capable. I must be able to transfer my old wav. files on to it. CD ripper software would be a plus even without a cd drawer. Obviously, sound is very important. I will not get to demonstrate either. The rest of my system consists of my newly purchased Garlubidor dac, Lamm 2.1 deluxe pre, VTL st150 amp and Vandersteen 2sig3 speakers.

Innuos, the Sense app is superior to any audio application and their systems are bulletproof. Support is fantastic.

Have never owned an Aurender though.

You use your phone as your controller. Even your old iPad will be able to used for service as a controller. Any phone or tablet will work as long as it is updatable.

After researching options I decided on the Innuos Stream1 with with PhoenixUSB output board and LPS1. I installed a 4TB WD Red SN700 NVMe M.2 SSD myself. I've ripped over 600 of my CDs with it using an external Blu-ray optical drive with USB. Simple, fast, and does an excellent job grabbing artwork.

I primarily use an iPad to control it but occasionally use an iPhone or my laptop browser and they work equally as well. My components are in an enclosed cabinet so a display on the unit does me no good. The Sense app works and sounds great while helping me manage and play Qobuz and my ripped CDs.

I needed a unit that had a width short enough to fit on a shelf side by side next to a full width component and the Stream1 fits perfectly. I didn't look at the Aurender and can't comment on how it compares and I didn't consider any product from Chinese owned companies.
