Advice on choosing speaker cables for vintage Altec Model 19 speakers

I'm putting together a vintage system for a Japanese-styled Kissa Listening bar. So far I have a pair of Altec Model 19 with the Werner Jagusch crossovers for the mains and a pair of Klipsch Heresy II for the back fills. These will be driven by two Liine-Magnetic Tube amps.  I'd like some advice from those who have used or are using the Altecs on choosing the right speaker cables for this vintage styled system.

The WE noted above is up to the task. Is the OP running the place or building it out for someone else ?

I used DIY spade terminated lamp wire for years on my VOtT A7’s, just like everyone else.

You can find bulk 12AWG speaker cable on spools of 50 - 100 feet (I think) on the internet from reputable suppliers which can also advise on simple inexpensive ways of reliably terminating it. This approach would be economical and the heavy gauge cable will reduce potential losses over long runs and be good for sonics.

You could start here.

Thanks everybody for the advice. In my past life I was a recording engineer working in the analog world with 48 track Studer 2 inch tape, Neve modules and Class A outboard gear. I worked in a solid state environment  with Tannoy large speakers and and the ubiquitous Yamaha NS-10 near fields. As a result I went from electro-magnetics to a Mark Levinson/ B&W 801 combo to compare mixtapes from my daily sessions on an apples to apples scenario. This was fine for the last 25 years. I eventually sold the B&Ws for som Wilson Sophia and added a Spectral solid state system. Foolishly  sold my record collection because I had the majority of my collection burned into an Innuos digital music server. Now I'm converting one of my seven wine bar/cocktail bar restaurants into a listening room. A coming full-circle if you will . A horrible time financially to be purchasing vinyl again. With the Spectral system I'm using MIT cables per the designer's suggestion. Obviously I can hear the difference but my question is more of a practical one seeing I'm using the Altecs and Klipsch in a commercial setting and longer runs from the tube amps are essential.

We have a pair of Altec VOT A7-8 which are an older model of the 19s. Rented several brands of speaker cables from the Cable Company and have found the Shunyata Research Gamma Speaker Cables the best. Tried silver threaded cables and found they don’t match well with the horns. The Gammas are pure high grade copper and give a full, rich, and slightly warm sound. We listen to all genres of music, mostly smooth jazz. good luck with your choice.
