Huff is one of the worst reviewers ever,99% of everything is good he is not that objective I look at some of his product reviews I have decades of experience and know products inside and out ,most Donot know exactly the parts quality and detail he just looks and listens he is a nice guy but not the most informed. |
This guy has done a great job of monetizing the interwebs, I'll give him kudos for that, but I wouldn't make purchasing decisions based on his "reviews". Everything is the best ever, until he gets the next thing. All of which doesn't preclude the DAC from being great, but I'd seek other more credible reviews before hitting the buy button. |
@big_greg +1 He claimed he would have his Fleetwood speakers until he dies. Then, a bit later, he got the upgraded version and then got rid of them for something else. If someone is a reviewer, fine – let them talk about the products and say whatever they want. But to make claims that are hyperbolic just to get clicks and then contradict oneself, well, that’s just flim-flammery. Fun thread on his "ghost box" here. |
Any reviewer is slave of the "new" and in an upgrade squirrel wheel...Neglecting optimization of a chosen system... It is way easier to buy a new system than to optimize the one we own...It is why audiophilia is often and most of the times conflated with gear obsession for an illimited budget. My audiophilia is passion for acoustics knowledge and optimization process which is fourfold : mechanical,electrical,acoustical & DSP . Communicating with the dead is not a recommended practice but a very ancient and known one...A dangerous one because we cannot recognized individual spirits from evil one...
If you doubt the existence of spirits you need to do more research... We live an era where spirit will manifested as clear as day : A.I. passing the Turing test is a "voice" which appear autonomous... the collective hypnosis about artificial intelligence is just beginning... A.I. actually is able to work some maths very difficult problems... what is a spirit, nevermind dead or living ? it is another discussion... One thing is sure, as music inhabit sound,as meaning inhabit letters,souls inhabit bodies, and possess them in a way ...I dont think that sound generate music, letters generate meanings, and body generate souls, randomly and by itself...
