Chuck Negron has passed away.

Just after we got married in August '65 the ole' lady and I for the evening went to the Whiskey A Go-Go on Sunset Bl. to see this unknown group calling themselves Three Dog Night. We got there early and had a table right in front of the stage. Just ice tea we were too young to drink alcohol. Their performance was just great and I told wifey these guys are going to be big , I don't believe they had a record contract yet. That club started stardom for many like The Doors , The Birds and many others which we also saw there later. R.I.P. Chuck , Cory , Jimmy , Joe and Floyd. Geez Danny and Mike are the only two left. I must be gettin' old.

I remember i saw,three dog night on the playboy program...dam they were good....RiP guys.

3DN was my favorite band back in the day, and Chuck was my idol. What a voice!!!  I saw them at least three times and their concerts were spectacular. I played in a band through high school and college and we covered several 3DN songs, but couldn't come close the originals. Nobody could!

Too funny!! I'm watching Olympic figure skating and thinking Chuck could have qualified for a medal for his "split."
