Is there a better all-in-one streamer/DAC/Integrated Amp under USD 5K?
For driving a pair of small, 4 ohm 86 dB speakers (DALI Menuet SE) for a small to medium size room at low to moderate SPLs, is there a Roon Ready, all-in-one streamer/DAC/Integrated Amp under USD 5K that is likely to perform sonically better than the Gato DIA 250S NPM?

@veemike the Stellar Strata MK2 is a fabulous integrated (I’ve got one in my living room), but it’s a full-width component and doesn’t have built-in streaming. The original Stellar Strata does have built-in streaming, but it’s still a full-width component. To all, the OP seems pretty clear that he’s looking for a small-footprint all-in-one that will give his setup with the Dali Menuet SEs a richer, more musical presentation than the NAD. Wish I had a recommendation, but I don’t have any personal experience with high-quality all-in-ones. Just trying to keep the discussion focused, to help OP as much as possible. |

By the way @kirkwallace, those Menuet SEs are amazing speakers. I bought a used pair a couple of years ago from TMR and had a very, very difficult time forcing myself to return them, but they were too small for my room. Incredibly clear mid-range, solidly built, beautiful to look at, almost never show up on the used market -- just couldn't justify holding on to them for the apparently mythical second system I keep telling myself I'm going to set up some day... |
