It is actually interesting that a DAC exists at this price point. It is also interesting how the cost of pretty good DACs has come down with (e.g.) Wiim and Schiit for a few hundred dollars bettering multi-thousand dollar gear from the '90s. 30 years ago I heard some horrid digital stuff, from companies whose amplifiers were excellent. No spatial sense, glaring, tiring, grainy highs and $5,000+. Computing power, plus ready the availability of high precision, high stability OCXO components have transformed digital sound. It is possible we are living in a Golden Age of high end equipment. With the increase of wealth among the Chinese I suspect we shall be seeing really first rate equipment and components. As an example, I replaced the NOS RCA black plate 6SN7s in my amp with LinLai Sapphires and found that the warmth and liquidity were still there but with a better sense of space - like combining the best of a 2A3 and 300B. I do want to try Sophia 300Bs - designed in the US, made in China. Apologies for wandering off topic.

XA-25(pass labs) $10,000.00 cartridge into an $11,000.00 Phono stage into a $3800.00 turntable amongst other things, a rubidium-based clock/oscillator( https://www.thinksrs.com/products/fs725.html ) It's ten bucks, and I'm assuming the SRS (Stanford Research System) FS 725 can be used to (measure ?) the YGiTK DAC. For someone who owns a K-01 XD se, I think you could do better for your wife's audio system. I noticed no photo of your system, outside of the homebrew amp, just the wife's. Considering what you spent on yours?

My wife's system is an Eversolo Play CD - she mainly plays CDs from the 90's - and a pair of Dynaudio 160s that lives in her studio for music while she works - or cleans up. The YGiTK post was an attempt at humor, given the florid description and a $9.95 price tag, If she were interested in a $250k system I'd buy it for her - I owe that lady for saving my sanity after being in deep depression for two years after my late wife was killed.
