Streaming Is To Audio What Red Plastic Cups Are To Wine

Unpacking and going through my vinyl collection, it occurs to me that vinyl is it, whereas streaming is Audio’s red plastic cup.

The best wines taste low-shelf in the red plastic cup. Yes, the red plastic cup is cheap and convenient, just like streaming. Wine should feel the same regardless of the vessel - it’s the same wine - but it does not. So should music - but it does not. Streamed music may sound (nearly) as good as vinyl, but it feels... disposable. Vinyl does not. Vinyl is the thing. Vinyl is it! Just my opinion, of course.

Now that's a proper adjective for this repetitive ramble.
Each to ones' own will rule their roost, end of line.

@evanpress, go for it as a therapy option....
Worse that can happen is the algorithm will reject it and bill you anyway.
You can 'mix your media', LP stationaries broken by stream strolls....

You might at min have a shot at a good pair of headphones and play the same selection for compare/contrast sessions.....

I keep trying to get my physician to Rx my THC therapy preference, but it still gets the askance glance.  I point out that a study some decades ago noted that regular 'inhalation therapy' of that sort by the participants had a lower incidence of lung cancer.

Got MRI'd last year, none.  After 50+ years of smoking both, I've got COPD....
....which gets me another inhaled therapy 2X daily....

Anyway..... pleasant to watch, cue the captions.... ;) *G*

Stay warm and dry wherever you are, the weekend beckons.... J

Interesting analogy.

Kinda like how  Miles in the movie "Sideways" felt about wine drinking  and Merlot?😂

I listen to my stereo to get away from an internet signal.

Is it really that deep?

Is there a difference in red cup pedigree?

Dixie vs Costco 1000 count generic?
