used power amp under 1500

I started with a great system and I managed to downgrade it to an OK sound through a lot of trades, sales, questionable decisions and shrinking budget. (No regrets, it's been a fun journey.) I ended up with very low sensitivity, hard to drive speakers and now I need more power. Will 100 Watts be enough and is it OK and safe to buy used? Any brands that are a good value at $1500?

@audphile1 I wrote in the comments here that I couldn't connect both my CD player and turntable to my DAC, therefore I could not get away with a power amp. It was my screwup. So I had to get an integrated.

Thus you are not wrong, originally I was looking for a power amp but on page 2, I switched.

@devinplombier I love the price. Also the very detailed and layered and powerful sound. It's not the warmest amp but with my sub it can be pretty sweet.

Overall I am happy now, with all my gear from a 100 mile radius from England, good synergy, rich sound, small footprint.

Thanks for all your help! I have learned a great deal.

For the $1500 price I would recommend a Threshold400a.  I know that is an old unit, but it can compete with any thing in that price range.  I have have one for over a dozen years without lick of trouble.  It will drive just a bout anything with clean highs and some warm that remind you of tubes with a relax sound you can listen to all day.

The Threshold 400a was produced in 1977 - 1979. Basically one of Nelson Pass’s first designs. Make sure it has been reconditioned. The capacitors nearly fifty years old are not going to sound very good. I sold my early 1980’s Threshold Stasis 500 about 20 years ago and had Pass recondition it before the sale. It made a huge difference in the sound.
