Agree, no rush but I'm interested in hearing real world thoughts from a real long term user. Something that doesn't really get captured in most pro reviews. Even the best reviewers who I enjoy reading. They only get a few months at most which is not really enough time to really get to know the ins and outs of a speaker set.
Buchardt A10 Speakers - 1 Year Review
I purchased a pair of Buchardt A10 speakers soon after they were announced in August 2024. I received them in early December and wrote a short intro on Audiogon soon afterwards, which seems to have disappeared from the site. So here is a longer description:
As an admitted audiophile and former audio dealer I have a lot of gear I’ve collected over the years. In my former home in Southern California I rotated between a couple of setups including an all SS solution paired with Shahinian Obelisk speakers, a hybrid solution using a pair of JBL horn monitors and an all-tube system mated to Omega and Coherent single point speakers.
IN early 2023 I relocated from Southern California to Portland, OR. I purchased a 100 year old home in the hills above Portland, OR in early 2023. The house was built in 1923 as a kit (Sears or Montgomery Wards) and the inside walls are lath & plaster. Like all homes from this era, the floors move a little. OK, more than a little.

@br3098 Please follow up with your thoughts and experience with the Buchardt A10 speakers. I am seriously considering them, but they are not ones which are easy to demo. Thx! |
