CD to Vinyl

Finally! I was able to purchase from over seas “Night and the City” performed by Charlie Haden and Kenny Barron on vinyl. The vinyl format is unavailable in the US. However, it is by far one of the best live jazz recordings I’ve ever heard, but for many years I had to listen to it in CD format, which is great, but I have always wondered what would it sound like on vinyl. I am so looking to the experience.

Question: What are some of your favorite CD recordings you wish was offered in vinyl?

Enjoy the music,

I have been streaming this album from Tidal. It’s great. Hope the vinyl meets your expectations.

One other recommendation, and I don’t know if it’s available on vinyl, is the Unforgettable NHOP Trio Live.

I will be sure to check it out and once I hear the vinyl rendition of Night and the City I’ll post my thoughts. Thanks for the suggestion.

Ponty, Clarke, DiMeola - Rites of Strings. Amazingly produced in sonically gorgeous CD which I wonder what would sound like on a good vinyl system.

I do understand. Some of these recordings created in CD format seems to me can be considered across the board an audiophile’s dream record.

Interestingly enough at lot of the jazz vinyl coming out of the EU was copied from a CD and yet the vinyl version will sound different.  Yes even better.  I have researched this, but cannot say that a satisfactory explanation has been uncovered.
