Anyone using this as their headphone amp? if so, please share your thoughts. Also, just started thinking about buying some headphones. Any thoughts there would be appreciated as well.

What’s your budget for headphones and what sound characteristics are most important to you?  And would you be looking for open or closed-back headphones?  The Icon may work as a headphone amp, but if you’re at all serious about sound and have decent headphones a separate headphone amp is the way to go.

Budget $2-300. I'm looking for something to use when spouse has gone to bed and not have to turn the sound down below my normal levels. So, I'm looking for similar sound from my Fritz speakers.

As your Fritz are fairly neutral with excellent imaging/soundstage I’d recommend looking at Hifiman open-back planar headphones, and these Ananda Nano headphones are in your price range and not difficult to drive.  Hope this helps.

Also in your price range is the Fiio FT-1 Pro planar magnetic headphones. (Don't confuse them with the "regular" FT-1, which is a dynamic model).
