What is your experience with Magico A3 or A5 speakers and the company as a whole?

Just auditioned a pair of Magico A3 and A5 speakers to replace my 20 year old B&W 802D (1st gen diamond).

Does anyone have any experience with either of these speakers since they are not cheap.

Also, not familiar with Magico as a company. Are they reputable, how is their customer service if you have an issue, etc. My electronics are PSaudio, and their customer service is 2nd to none.

Also, how safe is it to have a Beryllium tweeted in my home. I heard that if it breaks it is very dangerous to inhale any dust particles. For instance, Focal Sopra 3 put a metal cage around their Beryllium tweeter to keep probing fingers away from it. But the Magico speaker, it is unprotected. Heck, even the speaker does not come with a dust cover.

Please, any thoughts......and suggestions

@onehorsepony best thing you can do is audition as many speakers as possible. Pick what sounds best to you. Buying blind is a huge risk.

When you have a problem with Magico, you have to ship speaker  to California factory which is very costly. Jay’s  Audio guy had an issue with Magico and he was in trouble. I own a pair of Wilson Sasha DAW. I had an issue with whoofer and my dealer replaced in my house. There is no need to ship Wilson speakers to factory for repairs. I auditioned Magico so many times at Audiofest and Axpona . I definitely like Wilson sound better. Get a Wilson from a dealer, new or used, you will be happy.

I find Magico so accurate... so fast that any even minor imperfection in the electronics are revealed... almost feel amplified. I know they are great sounding speaker but every single time I have heard them they have sounded terrible because of some part of the electronics.
