has anyone succeeded in running the BluOS Controller on a Linux laptop?

I have a NODE N130 and use Qobuz for streaming. I can play music fine by using the Android app alone, or I can also open play.Qobuz.com on my Linux laptop and use it to control the stream, but I must have the Android app open simultaneously in order to connect to the NODE through Qobuz Connect. The webplayer only directs the sound to my computer speakers.

Bluesound does not have an official Linux download of the BluOS Controller available on their website, but their customer support claims that one is in development. I have found an unofficial version on gitlab but can’t get it to add Qobuz as a service. When I go to log in, it returns an error.

Has anyone had success with this kind of setup? I would like to be able to control Qobuz and NODE from my laptop, without having to open the Android app as well - it just seems redundant. MacOS and Windows users have this capability, but so far, no joy for Linux users.

I can't answer your question, but I have had a lot of problems in the beginning using Bluesound with ROON the first few years I had the Node.  It is only in the last few months the problems seemed to go away, so I assume one of the more recent updates fixed the problem.

All I can say is keep the thing updated and hope for a fix in the future.

You may have already tried this, but have you tried using a VM instance of Windows to control Qobuz from your Linux laptop. (I'm no expert but from my meagre knowledge, it may be worth looking into if you haven't already).

@painter24 , yes I have tried to run Windows in a vm, but so far it is eluding me. I have great frustration with VirtualBox, QEMU, Boxes, etc for virtualization - huge welts from banging my head against walls. I'm only doing it for the information because even if it succeeded, running a vm is no less of a burden than what i have to do now (Android+webapp)
