Is 24 inches enough space for this class a amp?

I accidentally left my beloved Luxman 595 class a amp on all night for about 9 hours.

I was wondering, from where the top of it is and the ceiling is 24 in. Is that enough airspace so I won’t cut the life short on it?

Since they get hot and heat is The enemy of electronics. This is my favorite amp and I want it to last on my life. I only play it on the weekends as I have another amp for the weekday.

Please no discussion on me using a wire shelf rack. I know some people hate it but I don’t care and I’m not changing that. I’m short on space in my house and that’s the end of that discussion.

Don’t worry, the amp is fine. Yes, heat can damage components, but run with proper ventilation as you have it, it should not age the amp. Some say that the on off cycles are more damaging due to heating and cooling, expansion and contraction. If you only use it on weekends, and you don’t mind the heat, maybe leave it on all weekend. You might find those Sunday listening sessions to be particularly good.

Looks fine to me for airflow. You even have your HVAC vent close by when the AC is running.

I've used two solid-state class A amps rated at 25 and 30 watts. I leave the amp on all the time, no problem.

As for space, hold your hand at varying heights above the amp to get some idea of how the temperature falls.

I felt The ceiling above the amp and it was slightly warm. It’s 24 inch from the amp. The ceiling was warm, does that mean that the amp could be getting some of that hot air back?
