Conrad Johnson PV10 used as standalone phono

Hi. This might be a stupid question. But I just get a new linestage preamp replacing my pv10 with phono section. Can I somehow connect the PV10 to the linestage preamp as a phono section? My guess is not.

As discussed above, you CAN run the PV-10 as a phono preamp only. But why would you? I have owned and loved many CJ products and I've owned PV-10s and 10Ls. The phono stage in the PV-10 is a basic phono stage for a basic preamp. It's good but not great. If you sold the PV-10 the proceeds could be used to purchase any number of better phono preamps. IMO

I agree with that. Any suggestions in $800 range?

I haven't heard them, but Darlington Labs phono preamps appear to be a lot of bang for the buck.

Another option is a Sutherland KC Vibe MkII.
