Have a bug for a new (to me) integrated

Hello all. I am seeking some opinions on a new to me integrated. Currently I have a Cary SLI80HS powering my beloved Volti Razz speakers. I want to keep the Cary, it really is a great tube amp. It's just that I've never powered my Razz with SS and I am very curious. Also I enjoy rotating gear in and out of my set up, always have.

I have narrowed my pre-owned contenders a bit, I am open to other suggestions too.  Trying to stay in the $3 to $4k range. I listen mostly to metal, rock, and Jazz. Room is about 12'x12, not well treated other than a love seat and a couple other pieces of furniture.

I welcome all discussions and suggestions.

Thank you!

@parkergetdean Can’t believe I am writing this at this moment, but it still has not arrived at the FedEx store! According to the site it is back at the hub! The frustrating thing is the hub is close enough I could ride a bicycle to. I seriously wonder now if my higher power is trying to teach me something!

ouch.

I could have ideas for a FedEx delivery but none would be better than what you are already doing. I hope tomorrow is the day.

On the plus side, it's not lost, it's close to you, etc. and you can instruct them to not get it on a truck but hold it in the store.

I think the higher power is trying to tell you... "hate the shipping company".

My last iPhone was a similar screw up. They would give me a time window. then come early. Or, even better... sneak up, put a sticker on my door and leave without ringing or knocking. After three days of this I lost it and sent a well written but scathing message to FEDEX. About 8PM that same night at truck drove up and rang the doorbell and cheerfully gave me my iPhone.

Update finally!

@parkergetdean thank you for the tip, I followed your thought and it worked out great! Plus it saved the unit from having to be loaded and handled, increasing the potential of a mishap..

I can say the Luxman has exceeded my expectations. I am very smitten and per usual for me will gush at any opportunity.

It is simply beautiful. As I was unpacking it and setting up I couldn't help but think "this must be what it feels to become a first time Rolex owner". The fit and finish of the Luxman is almost jewel like, everything feels so refined and perfectly proportioned. The controls feel silky smooth and just click into their position.

The sound is sublime. Hate to say it but what I'm hearing now is what I've been seeking. It sounds like a veil has been lifted, so open and airy, effortless in the frequency range, limited only by my Razz. There is so much more authority and grip that I have never heard from my Razz before, I grinned so much my face hurt. It has a little cooler and refined presentation than my Cary SLI80, it still has warmth, just no so much of it. I am keeping the Cary because I enjoy it so much too. (I'm planning on the Cary powering my second system with vintage EV century 100a's, Celestion, and TDL compacts for when I'm feeling romantic and sentimental haha).

To summarize I am just over the moon with the new Luxman paired with the Volti Razz. To all my friends here, this is what it's all about in my opinion.

From the bottom of my boots, thank you!

Doug

I have been wondering ever since! How slow can a FedEx truck be!

Sounds like it was worth the wait heart Enjoy!
