Component faceplates

As long as I can read it and it sounds good it makes little difference. Seems the trend is moving away from black though.

I have silver and gold components. They look great in my black rack.
My Veloce’ preamp has black and chrome with the tubes sticking out from the front faceplate. Best combination of everything I have seen.

Silver or even a graphite that TAD uses on components. Taking it one step further... manufacturers please skip the cheap looking and dork inspired meters that are basically only needed on recording equipment.
