Ethernet

Personally, I think anything beyond a decent Blue Jeans Cable Cat6 ethernet cable is a waste of money. My dealer loaned me a $1800 Siltech ethernet cable to evaluate (his idea, not mine). Between it and my $20 BJ cable it sounded better on some things and the BJ cable sounded better on others. In the end the conclusion was they sounded different, but that's it. Neither better overall. My wife agreed, and she never knew what I was playing at any moment.

I use Siltech cables otherwise, but the fancy-pants ethernet cable went back to the dealer.

@audphile1 But this Node N130 does the job of the streaming just fine. Decoding is being done with the Pontus 2 DAC and the Iris DDC makes everything all nice for the Pontus 2. How will upgrading my streaming device (Node) help? I can see if you are talking about upgrading the DAC. Isn't the Node sending the same data downstream as some mega $$$$ streamer? 

@dwette telling us what the components are in your digital chain would really qualify your statements. No disrespect but if you have junk a cable is not going to make golden.... 

@maprik along the same lines, if bluesound node just sends a stream, why would it matter if it’s on wifi or hardwired? Do you have any interruptions? So basically as long as you have no stutters in your streaming the bluesound node will suffice because it’s the DAC that decodes. You do not need better power supplies, better network implementation and a lower noise circuitry. Just dump all that crap into the reclocker and all good.
