Vibration Feet / Footers for Marble Stands and Digital Equipment

Hello all,

I am wondering what your take is on vibration feet for equipment. I put my amps / preamps on my rack on top of 1" thick marble. The marble so far is on Silicone Feet, generic, from amazon. I am wondering what your thoughts were on higher quality vibration dampening feet for my marble stands.

What do you recommend?

-Stack Audio has come up...

In one instance I will need low profile feet, less than 1". Any suggestions on low profile feet?

thanks,

R

Hi , I’m in the process of setting up gear that’s new to me and physically larger than my current gear. I just went through this with new speakers and went with Townsend Seismic Podiums. It totally changed my mindset on isolation Vs Spikes. The products available range from springs to platforms and everything in between. There are tons of thread’s already regarding this topic. Cost from $20 to $1K or more. Also placing weight or absorption on top makes a difference. The bottom line is you will have to research and experiment as it seems everyone gets different results. Look on Amazon, Herbies , Stack , ToughNutt, Townsend , Gaia , to name a few. For me the bottom line is coupling does not work , but isolation definitely does. Cheers , Mike B.

I use stack Auva EQ under my Dac and amp…..tremendous noticeable improvement over the Orbeas….Stack takes a different approach. Tone becomes more natural and hidden details emerge. They are worth the dough and have a 60 day money back return. Best footers I have ever used. Next for me will be the Auva 70 speaker feet to replace my Nobsound Springs.
