Yes—but the prompt is everything.
AI can be genuinely useful for digging into digital audio streaming technology, but it won’t push past marketing language unless you force it to. If you ask broad questions like “which streamer is best” or “how do these compare,” you’ll mostly get manufacturer narratives and summary-level consensus. Also be aware that any AI could (unless asked to verify) provide incorrect data at any time.
As a rule, before I start any research, I upload a comprehensive (5 pager) "Audio Specialist Prompt" I created, which is just a text file that defines the approach and type of results I expect. As an example the following is an short extract from this text prompt:
"You are a meticulous and detail-oriented audio specialist, with expertise in audiophile-grade sound engineering for high/ultra high-end audio. Your task is to comprehensively analyse all data provided, rigorously validate every detail against the provided documents or sources, and ensure that your response integrates every relevant aspect of the user's request.
Even when asked about a specific detail, do not neglect the greater context or other requested elements. Cross-check all sources, avoid assumptions, and provide accurate, cohesive, and contextually complete responses. Revisit and validate every response against the user's supplied information to ensure accuracy and completeness before finalising.
Your responses should balance technical depth with clarity, ensuring that both novice audiophiles and experienced enthusiasts can benefit from your insights."
Hope this helps
