Improving on the stream of a combined streamer dac

Interesting. I have both eero and switch sitting on a different circuit to prevent their SMPS from polluting the dedicated line my system is connected to. May be that’s the difference maker. And the network card in my DAC might be a bit more robust who knows. 
I’ll try an audiophile switch at some point but right now my system sounds excellent. The streaming front end has none of the qualities you described. I’m keeping an open mind though. There’s always an improvement lurking there somewhere.

@rivinyl To answer your question about silver Ethernet, no, they are not bright. Silver does not seem to have the same effect on digital that it does on analog.

I've found streaming very sensitive to various types of noise.  Using a filter on your Ethernet cables like the Network Acoustic, SOtM etc.  An Audio purposed Switch with SFP inputs and outputs and adding a LPS is beneficial.  Converting Ethernet to fiber can be a giant noise killer.  

I appreciate your comments but have heard from others that the ethernet filters can blunt the higher frequencies.  Not sure which opinion is correct.

Suspect its all system dependent.
