Accuphase dac 60

I have just purchased an Accuphase E4000

Can u give me an update on how your DAC 60 sounds now ?

@martinl07d sounds great for what it is. I'm sure there are external dacs that sound just as good, but don't have the time or money to mess around with other ones. Congrats on the e4000, awesome integrated!

I am using the DAC 60 in a second system - originally with an Accuphase E-380 and now an E-650 integrated amp.

I have a cd transport plugged into the coax port, and an optical cable from my tv plugged into the optical port on the DAC 60.  Both cds and tv sound very good through the DAC 60 - it is very capable and works seamlessly with the Accuphase integrated amp.

One tip I read recently - if you toggle the OP 1 button on your remote it cycles through the different DAC inputs (USB, OPT, COAX).   Much more convenient than pressing the DAC button on the front panel of the amp!

The DAC-60 has been around since about late 2021. I wonder if a "DAC-70" is coming soon. 

I was thinking about the DAC-60 but would hate to purhcase now if a successor is in the works as 5 years is pretty long for a DAC cycle.
