Most Paid for Vinyl LP

For me $54 new for best of Nickelback. I pay about $27 for new LPs, I rarely buy used but when new is not available I buy near mint used and have had good luck with perfectly quiet used.

Looking at those I have purchased on discogs, £85 was the most expensive (Bright Phoebus, Lal & Mike Waterson, 1972).

Approx. 2013, I paid over $200 (probably closer to $300) for a British mint 1st Pressing of Jimi Hendrix Experience - ELECTRIC LADYLAND, 1968 TRACK.   The very first pressing with the naked women that was mixed by Hendrix with the additional dynamic range.  Note:  This caused cheap phonographs to skip, so, they reduced the dynamic range after this very first pressing.   I just checked ebay for the lastest sale and it sold for over $1K for near mint and they have a mint one for sale for over $3K, not that it will sell for that much...  I did not buy it as an investment, but, mostly to hear what it would sound like to have Jimi Hendrix in my living room.  It has been really fun to be the caretaker of this album the last 13 years or so.  I  play Voodoo Child (slight return) for new comers listening to my stereo, or people wanting to hear vinyl, and it always blows them away.  Tons of fun !
