Seeking best sounding El-34 tubes for my power amplifier

I have a 150 watt monoblocks  amplifiers made by Thor Audio. Thor Audio is out of business for quite a few years. Each 150 watt monoblock is round and has 8 El-34 output tubes on each monoblock for a total of 16 tubes.  I currently have Sovtek tubes. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

"Best" is always subjective.  List 17 different EL34s, and each one will be someone's favorite.

I agree with knotscott. It is subjective and becomes a matter of personal preference, and system synergy.

Personally I am a fan of the Chinese Psvane  EL34PH. It is meant to be a replica of Mullard/Phillips EL34 from the 1950s. The Soviet Mullards, are nothing like the original Mullards in construction. I also prefer these Psvanes to the Svetlana Winged C EL34s that I was using before. I'm lucky in that my Quicksilver Mid Mono amps only require 2 EL34s per side. Much less of a gamble to try new tubes than when you need 16, right?

Agree on your thoughts regarding the EL34PH tubes. I’m on the 3rd quad in my Cary integrated, Prior to those, the tubes of choice for me, were the Winged C’s. I tried the EL34PH because the Winged C were not available from my local deal, so I thought I would try something different. Tried the KT77’s, but they didn’t give me the air that I got from the EL34PH. Not saying they are bright, just that there was a more open sound, while at the same time very dynamic. I plan on getting another quad of the Winged C’s, as an option to try.

I have found Siemens/ RFT East Germany EL 34 dimple tops from the 60s to be the absolute best. Seems to always be some NOS out there in the market and  most of the others mentioned are fine but these are best in the amps I've used them in. Just my opinion
