Replacement Spikes For Thiel CS2s

I just bought a pair of old CS2s, but there were no spikes included.  From researching the original spikes, it appears that there were some type of sleeves in the base to insert the spikes.  My base has 3 holes, but there are no sleeves.  Does anyone know of any aftermarket spikes with sleeves that will fit in the existing holes?

+ 1 @soix    Hi , sorry to complicate your problem, but I just dealt with heavy carpet and pad on a cement slab floor. I’ve had a lifelong affair with spikes for large speakers and heavy Sound Anchor stands. I recently switched from spikes to decoupling. It totally went against my long established beliefs. I wound up going with Townsend Seismic Podiums. At a less costly option consider the options mentioned above. Also search my history and read the extensive thread that evolved regarding spikes Vs decoupling. I did a fair amount of experimenting and had a HUGE IMPROVEMENT decoupling. The tipsy thing totally goes against that old mindset , but it is better. Contact Tuff Nutt and get some advice. Look at Herbies too and the more expensive products like Stack Audio, Gaia, and Townsend. But try something outside the box and let your ears make the choice. Decoupling gave me a larger soundstage, cleaner midrange , and improved bass. I have totally changed my belief in spikes, but I had to overcome incorrect thinking. Happy Listening, Mike B.

Thanks for your input on decoupling. Lots of food for thought & experimentation.  Prior to seeing your post, I ordered some original spikes from Gary at Coherent Sound Source, so at least I’ll have a chance to listen with & without.

Nice score on those classic CS 2 speakers. Given your bedroom set-up, go for the pointed spikes.  What other gear is in your System?  Feel free to join us over on Thiel Owners thread. Season's Greetings.

Happy Listening!

Thanks for the invitation to the Thiel Owners thread.  I’m going to join up.  This is just my bedroom system, which really isn’t conducive to critical listening. My amp is an old Aragon 8008BB.  I’m streaming to a Wiim Pro.  I have 2 DACS being delivered today which are the new Schiit Mimir and a Topping E70 Velvet.  I’ll audition those and return the one that I least prefer.  I don’t want to throw a ton of money into this.  I got lucky and found the CS2’s locally on Facebook Marketplace for $325.00 with all original drivers in the Teak finish.  I'm replacing the grill cloth today and installing all new original (for lack of the proper word) original plastic nubs that are attached to the baffle boards and insert into the 4 per speaker, female sleeves that are mounted on the speaker.  What is the proper name for those male plastic nubs?
