Raul Malo of The Mavericks has passed ....

Sad to hear the news that Raul Malo of The Mavericks has passed. I have been following him and that Band for over 31 years and what a God given voice that man had. I have traveled all around to to see them play, and saw them last year at this time in Nashville at the Ryman Theatre. What a beautiful memory I will cherish of that evening and that man's voice for a long time......The Mavericks concerts were an absolute blast to attend and always left me smiling, dancing and singing. This is a huge loss for all that are familiar with his music and voice. If you get a moment check them out and hopefully you will understand that we lost a great person and musician. Rest in peace Raul.....and thank you for the last 31 years of musical fun and dancing !!!!

........as the OP, the gravity of Raul's passing is settling in. John Lennon passed away on the very same day when I was a senior in college. ( 12/08 ) Jerry Garcia passed away in 1995 and that went straight to the bone. Then Gregg Allman passed away in 2017, and that went right to my marrow. Losing Raul's voice, now that one went straight to the heart...... I guess I have just had some bad luck on the musicians I follow. Raul and that band we really good.... I am going to miss the hell out of them and at 68 .....there isn't much left at least for me anyway. If you get a chance just listen to that man's voice.
