Hello all!  Got a new set of speaker cables, the 16 strand woven ones like a well known outit used to sell for big bucks, and now Parts Express does for only $2/foot. You have to put stuffing in yourself, but it's worth the bother. Stunning improvement! (Martin logan Electro stats and Pass Labs power amp). Just for fun, since the banana plugs allow stacking, I connected the old cables in parallel with the new ones. Holy Space Rats. Batman! Simply incredible improvement! I never would have believed it. If you have multiple sets of speaker cables, try it yourself. I can understand that the resistance of the paralleled cables is lower than either set alone, but don't understand why the three dimensionality is so greatly improved. I tried the same thing on a set on Magnapan LRS with improved crossovers and enjoyed a similar if somewhat less spectacular result. Enjoy the Music
