There is no "wrong way" to connect an HDMI cable. As long as the connection is made, the electrons and/or 1's and 0's don't care or know which direction they're supposed to flow. You got bamboozled.
How long for an HDMI cable to break in.
I've been using an Audioquest Blueberry for a little while and just got the Vodka 48 8k/10k to compare. I'm not hearing initially much of a difference and certainly not $600 worth. Anybody else compare the two? Direction is correct. When I put the Vodka in I realized the Blueberry was in wrong!

@audphile1 photons and electrons can both be used for the same purposes. |
Science says otherwise! Light comprises packets of energy (photons). The energy is in the form of electromagnetic waves. A changing electric field creates a magnetic field, and vice versa. Hence waves form even in empty space. Electricity is a net flow of electric charges (electrons). Electrons are a fundamental particle (bundle of energy) in the Standard Model, recognised by most physicists. According to Richard Feynman, every electron in our universe interacts with every other electron, which of course is a problem for HiFi designers. Photons do not interact with each other but can interact with electrons - giving rise to the photo-electric effect first explained by Albert Einstein over 100 years ago. So light is absolutely not the same thing as electricity! |
