Anyone have Martin Logan Abyss 10's?

Just picked up a ML sub used to add another to my 2ch. It hums, I'm done with used, going to get something new, just ordered 2 ML Abyss 10's, they got all the goodies on them, including 800w RMS power. It should be more than enough for my modest 20x24x9 room.

Anyone got any tips or trick with setting them up? How does the DSP work? Will pictures fall off my wall now? Should I have just picked up 2 REL Classic 98's instead? Think the build quality on the ML is superior, they are built like tanks.

I've heard both in a friend's system when he tried them out. For perspective, I have always been a huge fan of REL, and mainly thought ML subs were just decent at best.

In this case I think the Abyss line is a big step up compared to most other ML subs I've heard. And the REL Classic 98 feels very different than the REL sound I am used to. Instead of that ultra tight, tuneful presentation, it seems like REL tried to emulate more of a home theater sound this time. So more rumble and thump but less natural tone, and not as easy to integrate smoothly with the speakers where the sub doesn't call attention to itself.

In my opinion you made the right choice here. I can't help with any DSP or integration tricks though, sorry.

They were delivered on Thursday at 9:30pm, waited until Friday morning at 6am to set them up.

They are solid! feel like bricks, very heavy, they have 0 resonance. Weirdly bigger then I thought, bigger over my Depth but not as tall. Wish they came in other finishes, not a fan of piano black, my hand prints are all over them.

Setup was super easy! plugged in, ran piggyback cables off my main speakers to each sub. Downloaded the app, sat in my chair played around. Took about 2hrs to totally dial in. Set them up for 4th order xo @ 74hz, volume at 40, phase at 90deg. There is a "inverted" slider on the phase tab, it sounds almost like them being at 90, but different. No idea what this really does.

They integrate perfectly! They totally disappear, also help my mains also disappear. It sounds like my entire wall is the speaker, with the singers dead center. Some songs are holographic, and 3d. These things have blown me away, so much punch, slam, impact, that has been missing. It doesn't take 100+db's to get my chair to vibrate.

These things have blown me away in how it makes everything sound better! These might be a turning point to get some new gear to replace all my vintage. Looking forward to how they will get better over the 50hr break in period.

Congrats !  Nice subs, Where did you put the subs relative to your Klipsch Forte mkII speakers, next to them ?  behind them ? against the wall ?  etc....  ?   Thanks.
