Speaker Positioning

You need to buy a pair of speakers that are appropriate for the size of your room, and room dimensions as well as getting your speakers away from all walls is very important. I have a pair of $15k speakers gathering dust because I moved to a smaller room and my speakers were to big for the room.

I think you will be fine, but speakers (all) will sound better with the recommended distance.  Rooms are rarely perfect and you can adjust other aspects to compensate.  

@gnoworyta What's wrong with the D9.2s? Are you having buyer's remorse? Did you do your due diligence before deciding on that model speaker?
