Pioneer home system value
I have an opportunity to purchase a Pioneer system from the original owner and I’m looking for some input from you all.
The system has a SX 1050 receiver, PL530 turntable and a pair of HPM 100 speakers. Anyone have thoughts on a fair price? It is all in fair to good working condition and well maintained.

About mid-late 1960’s. Maintained? You mean the electronic components serviced recently the caps have been replaced and pots cleaned. Cartridge replaced. Caps in crossovers replaced. The speaker cones inspected and are not dried out. Personally unless completely overhauled I wouldn’t touch it. But if you like $2,500 in great shape (mint… well maintained vintage value $3,500). |
Use hifishark to check on prices. You can get an idea of what’s available and what sold. I wouldn’t buy it unless you plan on reconditioning, and even then, it’s mid-fi at best.
