Sum Total Cost Of All Cables In Your Rig?

What is the total cost of all cables in your rig, as it stands today? (All interconnects, power cables, speaker cables, digital cables, etc)

Just a curious question....

You are right and i think the same thing as a general rule...

But my system value being only 1000 bucks, it was not easy to stick to 15 %...

My actual set of cables are 30% ...

There exist a minimum  price for quality....

I paid 100 bucks for a Morrow cable  M3... The other cables  cost  less ...

Cables makes a difference but less than the others factors most of the time ...

The total cost is not really indicative IMHO . What is more informative and pertinent is the percentage relative to the total cost of the system, I read a long time ago that a ratio of about 10-15% is recommended. It has been a useful guide for me.

This is what I were talking about.  DIY at least saves you $900 right there for a quality pair of XLR interconnects using Mogami 2549 or 2534 quad.  Bravo @zavato.

About $27-30K for in use stuff and another $10K for not in use stuff languishing in the "back room".

I actually bought some Asian inspired Nordost at some point...I used to refer to it as Nordost Long in an affectionate fashion.

Asian inspired Nordost would imply a version of an actual Nordost cable, perhaps some special edition that you’ve dreamt up. I don’t recall them ever making anything like this.

A Nordost inspired Asian counterfeit is a Chinese fake that resembles Nordost in the way it looks. From far. One of those good from far but far from good thingies. Pretty sure this is what you ended up with.
