Modern equivalent of Cardas Golden Cross

I remember, some 20 years ago, auditioning ICs from the Cable Company and settling on the Golden Cross.  Back then I could hook up everything with .5 meter cables.

My configuration for the last dozen years requires a mix of 1 and 2 meter parts  Now I have a mix of stuff and am wondering if there is something equivalent to the Golden Cross.

Call me crazy but Mogami 2549 with KLEI Copper Harmony RCA shotgunned (ground lifted on source end) just might be your bet.  It is for me...

Very late to this, but I’ve run golden cross in a pretty high end system on and off for 10 years.  I’ve tried tons of other interconnects (some costing $2k/3ft), and at least between the dac and preamp, golden cross is my favorite.  I listen to all kinds of rock, soul, Motown, reggae and metal.

Apologies, I should have posted that I settled on Cardas Clear Reflection for all line level interconnects.

Relatively transparent compared to the Reference, but still with a touch of warmth.

I use Transparent Super Phono between the Koetsu Rosewood and the Dos Locos.  The Clear Reflection did not work there, it  flattened the sound.  i guess its non-linearity is pleasing for 1 volt but stifles 0.0003 volts.

1) If I may ask, how long have the new Clear Refs been in place so far?  After 45 days of play, resting in place and not being touched at all, 2) will you report back if you hear any differences yet again compared to the first 24-48 hours of play time? If yes, what differences do you hear with clarity, depth, warmth, smoothness, if anything different at all?

I wont debate the reasoning any more with folks and simply reporting what you hear, and if you take notes along the way, even better.  Yes, I own three pairs of Clear Reflections and a prior owner of Three pairs of Golden Cross prior, among many others from Cardas over the last 3+ decades.  Thanks in advance.  Enjoy yours.
