I have ARC tube components that produce substantial heat. I run two turntables 6 months of the year and my CD player replaces one of them in the colder months and helps keep my listening room toasty. Its my only digital source.
I stream music about 90% of the time. The rest is spent listening through either a Naim CDi, Onkyo C-7030 used as a transport with a 2008 Audio By Van Alstine Insight multibit dac, or a SYSTEMDEK IIX turntable. Wishing everyone on this Website a Happy Thanksgiving! 😊
So, those of you who have ripped your cd library, how do you catalog and retrieve them? I have about 400 cds, mostly classical and jazz, and a new Eversolo T8 Streaming transport that can handle 16TB of storage. I'd like to start ripping my library but not sure how to recall the files when I want to play them.
We use both but for absolute sound quality we use a Metronome two chassis transport through our tubed 101D DAC with a twenty-five pound power supply. Streaming is very convenient ands great but not up to the same level as the CDT and DAC.
