We Vinyl Ultrasonic or Vacuum Cleaner?

Spent a bit of time looking at the Humminguru and it looks like a Degritter, but has the power levels of a Vevor tank or less. Perhaps the smaller wash chamber offsets the power needs. But not even a shadow of the ultrasonic strength.

The HG is actually deceptively powerful because the tank volume is very small - 400 ml (the record spins very close to the transducers) vs the DG 1400-ml and the HG is 40-kHz while the DG is 120-kHz, and as the kHz increases, the power necessary for cavitation increases.   However, the HG has two 30W transducers (one on either side) while DG the four75W transducers (two on either side) which gets better coverage of the record.

My message to you was flagged so I responded by letter.  I have to say I have never had an issue with a stylus being coated with a film on a new record.  As a rule I do not clean new records as some have recommended.  

Interesting thread!  I'm going to try a HumminGuru.  My modest vinyl setup has been neglected but I'd love to start using it again if there's an easy way to clean my small collection and the occasional thrift-store find or Discogs purchase.

@dogearedaudio if looking at the HumminGuru you can still get the original model, but the upgraded Nova adds some additional features that caused me to stretch for that model, including a different set of transducers that sweeps the frequency for better cleaning.  It has done very very well for me, I think it performs better than the larger tank style that others talk about (and that style was not bad).

Your question is simple but you got some complicated answers

If you buy a new record , clean it and store it in a MOFI or any good quality poly sleeve and you probably won’t ever have to wash it again

I’ve tried nearly every cleaning machine and the got the 

Elmasonic P60 H with the recommendation of a record cleaning service that washes records commercially for a living

You will need a rotisserie like the Vinyl Stack product that’s been discontinued but you may find one used 

The Elmasonic cavitates at 2 different frequencies small and large bubbles 

15 minutes and the record comes out completely clean

air dry for 15-20 minutes and your done
