Looking for speakers in a large vaulted great room

I have a large great room that we are building that will have the dining room in between the great room and the kitchen.  The 2 rooms combined will be about 21’ wide by 30’ long to the edge of the kitchen.  The room is vaulted, and will have a wall of glass, sliding glass doors and windows on one side leading to the outside.  Needless to say this is not an ideal listening room, but I would like to have some speakers that fill the space with music.  I am not trying to do surround sound, just 2 channel from one end, opposite the kitchen.  There will be a fireplace at that end, and I could do floor speakers or bookshelf, although there will be a window on either side of the fireplace, so the bookshelf speaker would have to sit on top of a built in-cabinet below the windows.  Not looking to add anything to the walls, trying to make the room an enjoyable space with great sounding music.  Willing to look at used speakers as well. Any thoughts?

@OP. Sorry, but you are asking for the impossible in terms of a bookshelf speaker sitting on a cabinet in a space of that volume if you want actual hi fi as opposed to background music.

That said, probably the best compromise you could get in terms of sound quality is to put a pair of quality two way monitors from the likes of Harbeth or Sonus Faber, or a on good stands as far away from the side walls, and listen in the nearfield. BTW, if you can accommodate floor standers, surely you can accommodate a smaller speaker on stands - they have the same footprint.

One other alternative would be a pair of planar dynamics, but you'll want them further from the front wall than you are planning.

Yo-yo ya ya, Thanks for your thoughts.  I suggested the bookshelf speakers on top of the low cabinet, as just a suggestion, as I have some already.  Really want to fill the room with good sound quality, I don’t want it to sound like you are listening to an undersized speaker, but want a balance of not detracting from the wife’s decor.

If you have the room for them, the Cornwalls as mentioned previously would be great.

I would also suggest you also check out Tekton Design and either their Double Impact or Moab.

I have a large party room I had JBL L112 sounded great but they needed to be on a speaker stand .I then purchased Acoustic Research AR-9 worked out great
