Whats on your turntable tonight?

For me its the first or very early LP's of:
Allman Brothers - "Allman Joys" "Idyllwild South"
Santana - "Santana" 200 g reissue
Emerson Lake and Palmer - "Emerson Lake and Palmer"
and,
Beethoven - "Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major" Rudolph Serkin/Ozawa/BSO

Splinter / The Place I Love
1974 Dark Horse

This came to mind when I noticed this duo contributed to The Mirror’s “Kyle”. Produced by George Harrison (who played various instruments on multiple tracks) who loved these guys, with other contributions by Alvin Lee, Gary Wright and others that also show up on Ringo Starr’s albums. Good stuff.

I bought the record because of the cover art. Not sure if it’s Bill Elliott or Bobby Purvis with their hands (mostly fingers) shoved into the pockets of skin tight pants with a look of, hey, it hurts trying to look cool! While his bandmate has the cool factor easily dialed in. Love that!

Ringo Starr/ Goodnight Vienna

Did somebody say Ringo?  :-)))
