Crescendo Fine Audio apparently carries ProAc and has stores in the Denver/Boulder area that may be well worth the trip. They also seem to carry Revival Audio speakers (among others) that’d be worth auditioning too if you can get there. Hope this helps.
Needing to replace thirty year old speakers.
I have a thirty year old pair of Canton ergo 80 speakers. I
never felt they were that good. My current system includes
a Chronus magnum dark integrated amplifier, a Cambridge
audio can v2 streamer and two Svs 2000 pro subs. The
Chronic dark replaced an Adcom 555-2 amplifier and an
Adcom 565 preamplifier. I always thought the Adcom
equipment sounded harsh in the upper midrange. The
Chronic solved that problem. It is better than the Adcom
equipment in every way. I like speakers that are slightly
warm sounding but still give detail. My budget is around
$5,000, maybe a little more. What speakers would sound
good with my setup? If a recommended speaker allowed
Me to delete the subs, my wife would be happy 😊

I am old enough to remember my dad's Tannoy dual-concentric driver! Don't know about its imaging, the strong point of concentric designs, because he only had one. Fyne is the logical successor to Tannoy for hifi speakers, because Tannoy shut their factory and several Tannoy staff founded Fyne. I cannot put it better than AI:

@elliottbnewcombjr Sidebar. No offense intended, but just so you know, Cody is NOT part of Wyoming. Neither is Jackson Hole. They are but recklessly misdirected pretenders, mythological entities perpetuated by daft tourists and those with obscene money, nylons tucked inside cowboy boots and Deranged Rovers. I know, I grew up in nowhere Wyoming 90 miles south of JH with no street names and dirt. Lots and lots of dirt. I appreciate REAL Wyoming and its patina. Thank you for the info about the speaker company and I do wish them well. Back to our regularly scheduled programming, already in session. |
