“ I paid a lot of money for this thing, don’t touch it!”
I remember when I had picked up a nib monster power, power conditioner on the cheap off of craigslist. After installing was completely amazed at how well it cleaned up the picture quality. Was so much so impressed while in Goodwill found a Tripp lite Line conditioner(https://www.amazon.com/Tripp-Lite-LC1200-Conditioner-Outlet/dp/B0000512LA/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?adgrpid=57660046764&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.O-7ae2-DQsmZfbW63uc5eOA5cuTiYlNXwSjVuj9rxVqBsj7-BTdugI1vrrX0M6v-DfHhggkBvr3_BlecsNCQjs5_FWsJK6ZKKjy_q5NMG-I2mv1MVsAgYTJbr2rJ-iCYWxuWhu6OvyQI7WnwOYsShQ6jXtmGUivw0TCcx9UW41loLHYCfaTvg_2PMmuCU0Avs23e8RMgcnPZGdZedOCNKA.7u7_4M2v_k5OGPwLwdPqBm7zh6jUARbSMnqsYT460ic&dib_tag=se&hvadid=604466207458&hvdev=m&hvexpln=0&hvlocphy=9033780&hvnetw=g&hvocijid=10514641908835486579--&hvqmt=e&hvrand=10514641908835486579&hvtargid=kwd-298271561988&hydadcr=19000_13432045&keywords=tripp+lite+line+conditioner&mcid=1ad1f818993439809d53abe201b75a68&qid=1762020265&sr=8-3) and gave it to my neighbor to put on her TV and she came over and was saying how well it improved the picture. There is no way to prove it but prior to installing it I had to do a warranty claim twice on the TV for a failed computer board. At this point, I would never have a TV, not on a power conditioner.
hi Bill, excited to see what you’re coming up with next!

@ghdprentice That's a fine answer for a still video image photography system! I mean moving image pertaining to home theater. @gdaddy1 I agree that that is true for the mass market. But what about the avid videophile / home theater person? If one makes a serious financial investment in home theater then you better be concerned with the best video imaging system you can afford. Or do you mean this holds for the seriously committed enthusiast? |
@gkelly Hi! Interesing comment. I have a product that will improve the performance of the a/v home theater system. It's called Cable Cell. |
@addpowr the general conclusion was that the pixels are currently small enough that it's not able to be detected by the human eye. So it's more marketing than practicle benifit. Many say that improving contrast and color depth has a bigger impact than increasing resolution beyond 4K. However, If budget allows and you’re building a serious home theater, you could pick an 8K TV now, with the mindset that you’ll get more “future benefit” as 8K content becomes more common. |
