Must have accessories for improved system performance

I would go for Leica M series lenses... but that may not be the question. 

This was a topic going around in the media this past week. "Do you need more and better pixels or is the resolution on most TVs at the limits of improvement?"

The answers... the resolution of most TVs is plenty. There was discussion about the optimum seating distance from the screen was important. Bla bla. Same ole stuff.

Is buying a high end, finer pixel rate TV worth it? No. The majority of people don't even adjust their TV once they get it. They buy it and hang it on the wall and plug it in. Most are NOT interested in any improvements made by adjusting. "I just paid alot of money for this thing, don't touch it!"

I remember when I had picked up a nib monster power, power conditioner on the cheap off of craigslist. After installing was completely amazed at how well it cleaned up the picture quality. There is no way to prove it but prior to installing it I had to do a warranty claim twice on the TV for a failed computer board. At this point, I would never have a TV, not on a power conditioner.

@ghdprentice That's a fine answer for a still video image photography system! I mean moving image pertaining to home theater.

@gdaddy1 I agree that that is true for the mass market. But what about the avid videophile / home theater person? If one makes a serious financial investment in home theater then you better be concerned with the best video imaging system you can afford. Or do you mean this holds for the seriously committed enthusiast?
