Second Round of Questions on Speaker Cables

Following up on a post of a couple months ago. Running Audience AU24SE cables but looking for something with more "body" if such a thing exists. But I do love the open, airy and even frequency balance of the Audience. A buddy runs Cardas cables and loves them but Audience not so much. So I was asking what else besides my Audience. Two answers were in the majority:

Stick with what you like, Audience, but go up in the range. Or, try Cardas.

So went for with AU24SX and really like them. Better than the SEs, maybe a bit more body.

Then tried the Cardas Clear Reflections. What I find is an emphasis with the mids and upper bass. Great for music with an emphasis on vocals maybe, but for my wide-ranging likes of rock, jazz, and occasional vocal-centric music, just not right with that lower-end emphasis.

FWIW, Bryston amp, Spatial Audio and Rogue pres, Sopras.

So still looking but not sure where to go next. I realize I'm being a little vague, but there's so many other options out there and it's impossible to try them all. Open to suggestions.

Thanks.

Black Mesh Oval 9 Speaker Cable
Price range: $509.99 through $2,369.99
"Our Black Mesh Oval 9 Speaker Cable is a massive 9 gauge speaker cable capable of handling deep bass notes played at high volume."

That is actually funny. Let's see...

Typical house electrical wiring uses 12-14 gauge copper wire.
The frequency of electricity in US is 60 Hz at 120 Volts. 60 Hz is pretty low, right? 120 Volts is pretty high, right? That will deliver 1800 Watts of power to an 8 Ohms resistance (120*120/8).
Your very nice and ample speaker can handle ... 200 Watts? Do you think the typical electrical 12-14 gauge copper wire can handle 200 Watts of power delivered to your speaker?

Now, the folks are telling me about "handling deep bass ... at high volume" with their magic cable.

DO NOT connect 120V current to your speaker.

Speaker cables are so much dependent on équipement, room and sound preference. Audience, Cardas and Transparent are amongst the best. Luna cables are also getting more and more visibility. Great value for the price. Owned a pair of Mauve. Very balanced cable. Based on your description the step up Luna Red may be worth an audition. Good luck with your search.

No, such a thing doesn't exist. Nothing is better than plain old 12 AWG OFC. And a coat hanger would literally sound just as good as some snake oil Audioquest speaker cable. Because science.

I wish I could say I feel bad for the folks who can’t hear a difference between cables—or even components. Are they too stuck on "science" to use their ears? It amazes me they would even be on this site or in this hobby. Luckily they are a tiny minority.
