To antiskate or not antiskate

Well that's the question,  as I'm evaluating the latest addition in my setup.

A dr feickert woodpecker with a clearaudio unify 12 inch tonearm and lyra titan cartridge.

This is my first encounter with this kind of setup so any advice is welcome !

It is quite possible @lewm values the used second hand market that can increase his buying power. I know l do.

This approach increases the choices and variety of gear that can be assembled. Better to pass on that equipment if you need to, and make back most of the investment. Within a chosen budget it can be in most cases a winning situation.

Bought all the expensive cartridges used from trusted sources, except the Urushi which I bought new in Tokyo for $1700, when they were about $5K in the US. I didn’t pay more than $2K for any. I don’t tell porkies, whatever those are. I was able to score many of the vintage MM and MI cartridges NOS for under $1000.

RB, I see also that you listed my turntables as well as some of my cartridges.  I never claimed I paid less than $2K for each turntable. Cost of each of those was all over the lot, least for the Denon or Victor, most for the SP10Mk3, about $6500 before plinth and tweaks.

Thank you @yogiboy ,had I known about this excellent video before posting this thread it would never never existed 😁
