@yyzsantabarbara If you look at the internals all you see is a bunch of small electronics on a board. Crazy because the hi-end stuff is packed with transformers chokes etc.... So I have read all the marketing etc... I wanna know if this will allow you to listen at a lower volume and get more detail without having to crank it up. I have never dealt with these pro-audio places do they negotiate on prices?
New Type of DAC
I just read about the new Immersiv D-1 DAC. From what I have read it has a tremendous amount of dynamics compared to traditional DAC's. It actually has two DAC's the cover lower db and upper db and then it is put together somehow with DSP. It sounds pretty cool just want to here if anyone else has read about it or actually listened to it?

I think I bought a microphone once from Sweetwater but never any expensive audio gear. You can always call one of them and tell them you never pay MSRP for super expensive audio gear. Maybe they negotiate with you. I own this amazing DAC, and I can easily recommend this one. The new Schiit Byggi could be great. I am getting that when they call my position in the queue. I am converting a Schiit Yggi+ MIB to the Byggi. This DAC is the best DAC I ever heard and is in my plans to eventually get it. Though I want to hear the Imersiv. Allnic D15000 – Allnic Audio (one I heard at my house is not on the web site yet. It is the top of the line) Both the Allnic and Imersiv DACs were at the LA CamJam show a few weeks ago. I had a kid’s birthday at the last moment and could not go to hear these 2 DACs.

I purchased a D-1 about 2 weeks ago. If you do a search on this forum, it has been previously mentioned. It is quite impressive! The Bob Katz review: https://positive-feedback.com/reviews/hardware-reviews/imersiv-d1-dac/

The issue here is that Bob did not reveal what "Standard DAC" he was comparing with the D-1 |
